Queen’s University
In accordance with Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs, the Accreditation Committee, at its September 29, 2004 meeting, granted general accreditation to the:
- Concurrent Program of Professional Education
- Consecutive Program of Professional Education
- Aboriginal Teacher Education Program and
- Technological Education Program
offered at Queen’s University for a period of five years (2009).
In making its decision the Committee considered:
- the final report of the accreditation panel;
- the responses of the Faculty of Education of Queen’s University, dated June 2004 and August 11, 2004, to the panel’s draft and final reports;
- regulatory requirements of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs, and Regulation 184/97, Teachers’ Qualifications.

Amendment to Expiry Date
In accordance with the May 1, 2009 amendment to the accreditation period for programs of professional education in the Accreditation Regulation, the expiry dates for these programs are amended to September 29, 2011.
Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs
May 1, 2009
On June 23, 2009, the Accreditation Committee and the Faculty of Education at Queen’s University agreed to extend the general accreditation period for these programs to September 29, 2012 to more evenly distribute the accreditation reviews conducted by the Ontario College of Teachers.
