The Ontario College of Teachers was established in 1996 under the Ontario College of Teachers Act.

The College is governed by a 12-member Council and is led by an executive team that includes the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, the Deputy Registrar and six Directors overseeing:

  • Corporate Services
  • Digital Technology and Services
  • Investigations and Professional Conduct
  • Membership Services
  • Policy, Governance and Tribunals
  • Standards of Practice and Accreditation.
