Before beginning your application to the Ontario College of Teachers, we recommend taking our free online assessment to determine if you meet the requirements for certification.

The assessment includes questions about your educational background and work experience (if applicable). It should take about 30 minutes to complete.

Note: There is no option to save your progress. You must complete the questionnaire to receive your assessment.

If you are already certified to teach in another Canadian province or territory, you do not need to take this assessment. Learn how to transfer your teaching certification to Ontario by applying under the Ontario Labour Mobility Act.
