Refreshed Professional Standards support ethical practice and student learning

The Ontario College of Teachers has launched nine refreshed Professional Standards to guide the evolving responsibilities of Ontario Certified Teachers (OCTs) and support a shared understanding of professional expectations.

In August, OCTs from across the province gathered at the College to contribute their insight and professional experiences to the development of resources that will help classroom teachers and system leaders familiarize themselves with the refreshed standards.

The first collection of resources is now available for download from the Professional Standards Resource Hub. Additional resources will be added in the coming months.
