Complaints and Discipline

Teachers are always on duty. You should be aware that teachers are expected to be professionals 24/7 and that the College has a duty to investigate if a complaint of alleged professional misconduct, incompetence or incapacity is made against you.

The College strives to ensure fair and impartial treatment for its members while protecting the public.

During an investigation of allegations against a member, the College takes steps to protect a member’s rights. Find out what your rights are.

Three-member panels of publicly appointed and teacher-elected College members rule on each case. Disciplinary decisions are listed in alphabetical order.

As part of the disciplinary process, members may be required to complete courses.

Members have a right under law to appeal disciplinary decisions.

Do you have concerns about a member? Learn about the complaints process and the steps to take to submit a complaint.

The College’s disciplinary hearings are open to the public. Notices of hearings are posted to the hearing schedule as soon as they are served on the member.
