College Leadership Learn more about the people who lead the College.
The College has accredited more than 50 full- and part-time teacher education programs in 18 university faculties of education in Ontario – the places people go to learn how to teach.
The College also reviews and approves hundreds of Additional Qualification courses. These courses keep teachers current and prepare them to teach in diverse communities including those from English, French, multicultural, First Nations, Métis and Inuit heritages.
Accreditation helps to ensure the programs and courses that prepare teachers are based on the profession’s ethical and practice standards.
The College continually reviews teacher education programs in the province to ensure they meet regulatory requirements for accreditation. We offer the review schedule to provide you, the public, with an opportunity to share your insights about program quality. We welcome your feedback.
