College Leadership Learn more about the people who lead the College.
We are committed to a fair and transparent complaints and discipline process. We support this commitment by researching and adopting best practices in professional regulation and through external reviews such as those related to the College’s Investigations and Hearings procedures and practices and College governance.
For example, following former Chief Justice Patrick LeSage’s review of our intake, investigation and discipline procedures, significant changes were made to improve the investigations process, including posting bail conditions on the College’s Public Register and managing investigations timelines.
This included the introduction of our online concern or complaint form, which offers the public a way online to submit information regarding concerns about members' professional misconduct.
Pass the Remote: An Electronic Hearings Primer.
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused regulators to re-think the way they conduct hearings. The College shares practical tips and lessons learned from the perspective of a high-volume administrative tribunal that has successfully re-designed its disciplinary processes for a remote world.
