The College’s Discipline Committee decides the outcomes facing College members who have been found guilty of professional misconduct or incompetence.
The decisions from those public hearings are available here.
To see them, find the member’s last name in the alphabetical list. You can also use the search function using any word in the decision, the decision date, member name, school board, allegations, or details of Discipline Committee order. Or, visit the Canadian Legal Information Institute (CanLII) website, which is a free online database of decisions made by courts and administrative tribunals.
The College’s Discipline Committee decisions have been redacted to protect the identities of victims and vulnerable witnesses. Some decisions keep the member’s name anonymous to meet court-ordered publication bans. A few decisions are not available because of confidentiality restrictions.
The College removes decisions from its website when the conditions of a Discipline Committee decision have been met and the notation has been removed from the member’s certificate. This is in accordance with the requirements of the Protecting Students Act.
Please contact the College at email@example.com or by calling 416-961-8800 to obtain decisions that no longer appear on the College website.
