Ontario teachers will elect representatives to the 6th Council of the Ontario College of Teachers in April. Seventy-one candidates have put their names forward for 23 of the governing body’s 37 seats (the remaining 14 are individuals appointed by the provincial government). Read the candidates’ biographies and participate in the conversation via the candidates’ election blogs at www.oct.ca.
You can now see more than 600 full discipline decisions involving College members over the last 15 years. In January, the College posted the information (which were always available publicly via our library) online to improve public access. Simply visit the Disciplinary Decisions page on our web site.
Behind every great human achievement, there’s a teacher. And helping Ontario students to prepare to reach and exceed their potential begins with teachers who are themselves prepared. To see the academic qualifications of your child’s teacher, go to our Find a Teacher function on the College's web site.
