The Rules of Procedure of the Discipline Committee and of the Fitness to Practise Committee that apply to all proceedings before the Discipline Committee and the Fitness to Practise Committee of the College are made according to the Statutory Powers Procedure Act and came into effect on October 15, 2011. The current version was last amended on December 16, 2022.
The following forms are referred to in the Rules of Procedure and are included as appendices to the Rules of Procedure. They are individually hyperlinked below for ease of reference.
A Practice Direction for Electronic Proceedings came into effect on May 26, 2021 and applies to all electronic proceedings before the Discipline Committee or the Fitness to Practise Committee at the Ontario College of Teachers. It is intended to provide guidance and directions about matters not covered by the Rules of Procedure of the Discipline Committee and of the Fitness to Practise Committee, and to explain or clarify the Rules.
