Decision of the Accreditation Committee
For the reasons set out above, the Accreditation Committee finds that the following programs of professional offered by the Faculty of Education, Lakehead University fully satisfy the requirements of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs:
- Consecutive program of professional education with areas of study in the Primary/Junior and Intermediate/Senior divisions, leading to a Bachelor of Education degree
- Concurrent program of professional education with areas of study in the Primary/Junior and Intermediate/Senior divisions, leading to a Bachelor of Education degree
- Concurrent program of professional education that combines studies in Indigenous education with areas of study in the Primary/Junior divisions, leading to a Bachelor of Education degree (Indigenous Teacher Education)
- Consecutive and multi-session consecutive programs of professional education with an area of study in teaching Native Languages, leading to a Diploma in Education
The Accreditation Committee grants general accreditation to this program for a period of seven years until December 3, 2026 or for an amended period of time that is in accordance with Section 15 of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs.

For the reasons set out in the Accreditation Requirement Findings and Reasons above, the following program, as modified, qualifies for general accreditation without conditions until the existing expiry date of December 3, 2026 or for an amended period of time that is in accordance with Section 15 of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs:
- Consecutive program of professional education with areas of study in the Primary/Junior and Intermediate/Senior divisions leading to a Bachelor of Education degree.

Decision Regarding the Program Change Application for the multi-session program
For the reasons set out above, the Accreditation Committee finds that the following program of professional offered by the Faculty of Education, Lakehead University fully satisfies the requirements of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs:
- Multi-session consecutive program of professional education with areas of study in Technological Education (Grades 9/10 and Grades 11/12), leading to a diploma in or a degree.
The Accreditation Committee grants general accreditation to this program until December 3, 2026 to correspond with the existing expiry date of the other accredited programs of professional education at the Faculty of Education, Lakehead University.

Decision of the Accreditation Committee
The Accreditation Committee determined that there was a substantial change to the character and duration of the existing and accredited program, in accordance with Section 21 of the Accreditation Regulation, the Accreditation Committee confirms continued accreditation to the following program offered by Lakehead University as of November 21, 2024:
- Multi-session consecutive program of professional education with an area of study in teaching Indigenous Languages, leading to a diploma.
The general accreditation period continues until December 3, 2026 or an amended period of time that is in accordance with Section 15 of Regulation 347/02, Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs.

Expiry of Accreditation
Lakehead University notified the Ontario College of Teachers that it has ceased to provide the Consecutive Indigenous Languages program, in accordance with subsection 20(4) of the Accreditation Regulation. The Accreditation Committee orders the revocation of accreditation of the following program of professional education offered by the Faculty of Education at Lakehead University, as of November 21, 2024:
- Consecutive program of professional education with an area of study in teaching Native Languages, leading to a diploma.
