Showcase your students’ artwork

It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your students to showcase artwork at the Ontario College of Teachers!

For the past several years, the College has been exhibiting Ontario students’ creative expressions at our office and it has been a very successful initiative.

The art pieces you send us will be displayed for one month on our 15th floor where members of the profession and the public will have the opportunity to see the work you do in the classroom; bringing an appreciation of the arts in your students’ lives.

There will be signage recognizing your contribution, school name and the grade of your students. Photographs of the artwork will be published on our social media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) with your consent.

We will be pleased to arrange a pick up from your school and we will return the artwork after the exhibition.

The criteria is simple: the students’ artwork must meet the following conditions:

  • wall mountable
  • on paper or mounted on light weight foam core
  • photographs are acceptable
  • one dimensional (i.e.no papier mâché or other heavy material glued or affixed)
  • without a frame (glass or wooden)
  • free from weighted cardboard
  • maximum size of 63 cm x 61 cm (16” x 12”)
  • collection up to 20 pieces illustrating a common theme

Projects like this highlight the dedication and love for art that teachers and students share.

Contact Rachel Balinsky at rbalinsky@oct.ca to participate.

We look forward to showcasing your students’ artwork.
