The review is part of the College’s commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. Council will receive the contents of the report and its 37 recommendations on December 6, 2018. See a copy of the report to learn more.
 
 
 
New counselling program for victims of sexual abuse
 
New counselling program for victims of sexual abuse
Starting on January 1, 2020, a new counselling program, required by law, will be available to individuals who allege sexual abuse or acts involving child pornography by a College member
 
The College is working with the government to establish the parameters of the program.
 
We will provide more information as it becomes available.

College Council recently approved distribution of a professional advisory for Ontario Certified Teachers on Supporting Students’ Mental Health. The advisory examines current trends, the role of educators in the context of professional ethics, responsibilities and legal considerations.
