Protecting the public interest
In November, Bill 37, the Protecting Students Act, 2016, passed third reading following a debate in the Ontario legislature. The College had the opportunity to present a brief to the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs in support of Council's proposed amendments to the Protecting Students Act.
The act aims to improve the investigation and disciplinary processes of the College and help protect students.
