Frequently Asked Questions
What information appears on the College's public register?
Maintaining our public register – Find
a Teacher – fulfills the College's mandate to
regulate the teaching profession in the public interest and demonstrates the
profession's commitment to openness and public accountability. The public register
lists College members' names, the qualifications and academic credentials they
hold and their status with the College. The Ontario College of Teachers Act and College bylaws define the information made available to the public.
The College does not provide the public with any personal information
like members' birthdates and addresses.
