Can I take AQs to teach students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing?
AQs for Teaching Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing – ASL, Teaching Students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing – LSQ, and Teaching Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing – Aural/Oral are offered in Ontario. To enter one of these AQs, a teacher must have a Certificate of Qualification and Registration, and have successfully completed at least two courses in American Sign Language or Langue des signes québécoise, or have equivalent proficiency.
