1. Call to Order/Welcome

The Chair, Angela De Palma, called the meeting to order at 8:53 a.m. and thanked the members for participating in the meeting at such short notice.

2. Agenda (GC20151105-70)

It was moved by Terry Price, seconded by Robert Gagné, and

CARRIED,

That the Agenda for the Special Meeting of Council held on
October 15, 2015 be approved.

3. Conflict of Interest

No conflicts were declared.

4. Business

4.1 Report of the Governance Committee: Vacant Council Positions: Northeast Region Full-Time and Northeast Region Part-Time/Full-Time
(GC20151015-71, -72, -73)

The report of the Governance Committee was received. Angela De Palma, a member of the Governance Committee, spoke to the report and noted that there were two vacant election positions on Council: Northeast Region Full-time and Northeast Region Part-time/Full-time. She noted that according to section 18 of the Election Regulation (Ont. Reg. 293/00) a majority of elected members of Council shall elect a person to the position. She thanked appointed members for participating in the meeting in order to guarantee quorum.

It was moved by Angela De Palma, seconded by Myreille Loubert, and

CARRIED,

That Council appoint Brigitte Bidal Piquette, OCT as the representative for the Northeast Region Full-Time position.

It was moved by Angela De Palma, seconded by Robert Ryan, and

CARRIED,

That Council appoint Ravi Vethamany, OCT as the representative for the Northeast Region Part-Time/Full-Time position.
