October 5 is World Teachers Day

World Teachers' Day is upon us and the College is proud to unveil to you personally the ad that the College has placed in 43 newspapers across the province to celebrate the teaching profession. We are running the ad on October 4 - a workday - so that you can share it with your colleagues and display it in your schools.

From Barrie to Windsor, through to Fort Frances and Port Hope, the College salutes, through the words of remarkable Canadians, the work of Ontario teachers who every day awaken the "zest of learning" - as Bruce Cockburn puts it - in their students.

World Teachers' Day gives us all - teachers and the general public alike - an opportunity to reflect on the invaluable contribution of teachers to our schools, our communities, our society.

Most of all, World Teachers' Day - your day - gives us the opportunity to say thank you for a job well done, for your tireless efforts and for giving students the best that you can give day after day, year after year.

You will find below the list of the newspapers across the province where you can find the College ad. Please note that the ad in the French newspaper Le Droit will be published on October 5 as part of a special supplement on the teaching profession for World Teachers' Day.
