Council Names Lise Roy-Kolbusz Interim Registrar

Council has named Lise Roy-Kolbusz to the post of Interim Registrar effective Friday, March 27. Roy-Kolbusz takes over from Registrar Brian McGowan who is retiring.

"My goal as Interim Registrar is to continue on the path set by the senior leadership of the College," said Roy-Kolbusz. "We will move ahead on initiatives that are already underway ensuring a smooth hand over to the new Registrar. We will also continue to support the work of the fourth Council and its committees as it prepares the way for a new Council in July."

Michael Salvatori will assume the post of Registrar and Chief Executive Officer effective June 1, 2009.

Lise Roy-Kolbusz joined the College in 2005 as Co-ordinator of the French-Languages Services Department. In October 2006, she became Deputy Registrar, sharing the administrative duties of the Registrar's office and assuming responsibility for finance and budget development, as well as the College's Aboriginal task force.

Roy-Kolbusz came to the College from the Conseil des écoles catholiques de langue française du Centre-Est, where she was Superintendent of Education. From 1985 to 2001, she taught French as a Second Language at both the elementary and secondary levels and served as a vice-principal and principal with the Ottawa-Carleton Catholic DSB.

Roy-Kolbusz holds a Master of Education degree from the Université d'Ottawa and a Program of Professional Education degree from Sudbury's Université Laurentienne.

Francine Dutrisac, Acting Deputy Registrar

Council has also named Francine Dutrisac, Director of French-Language Services Department, to the position of Acting Deputy Registrar.

"I'm honoured at the confidence the Council has shown asking me to fulfill this senior role in the administration of the College," said Dutrisac. "I will do my utmost to support Council and the Interim Registrar in this transitional period."

Dutrisac holds a master's degree in education from the University of Toronto and a BA in social science from York University. She completed her teacher education program at  Laurentian University.
