Online voting easier than ever!

It’s easier than ever for you to vote in Council elections. Using colour and graphic elements, we have designed a ballot that is clear and easy to use yet looks like a traditional ballot.

When you log into your Members’ Area account, click Vote Here. A ballot will appear of the positions you are eligible to vote for.

The ballot is headed with the name of the position and below is a list of the candidates for that position. Point your cursor to your candidate of choice and click and an X will appear beside the candidate’s name. To change your vote, point your cursor to another name and click again.

A link beside each candidate’s name will take you to biographical details and any optional information the candidates have provided about their views and why they are standing for election.

Among the new features is a reminder that you are not required to vote for a candidate for every position. The votes you cast are counted. Where you decline to vote, your ballot is registered as an unmarked ballot.

When you have voted for the last position, click Finish/Cast My Ballot to submit your votes.
