This information session has been designed for teachers educated outside of Ontario or Canada who have made application to the Ontario College of Teachers, and who need more information on how to obtain documents. During this session, staff from the Membership Services department will review all required documents, their format, the College's translation policy, and provide tips on how to more easily obtain documents from international institutions. College staff will use the registration guide to highlight those documents that must be sent directly from the sending institution — university transcripts and statements of professional standing. Applicants will have an opportunity to ask questions about documents issued from specific international institutions.
In order to prepare for the session, we recommend that applicants read the portion of the registration guide which deals with transcripts, statements of professional standing, and the College's translation policy. The registration guides are available here.
