Obtaining Documents to Complete Your Application

This information session has been designed for teachers educated outside of Ontario or Canada who have made application to the Ontario College of Teachers, and who need more information on how to obtain documents. During this session, staff from the Membership Services department will review all required documents, their format, the College's translation policy, and provide tips on how to more easily obtain documents from international institutions. College staff will use the registration guide to highlight those documents that must be sent directly from the sending institution — university transcripts and statements of professional standing. Applicants will have an opportunity to ask questions about documents issued from specific international institutions.

In order to prepare for the session, we recommend that applicants read the portion of the registration guide which deals with transcripts, statements of professional standing, and the College's translation policy. The registration guides are available here.

In order to attend the session, you must register by sending an email to info@oct.ca. Your email must indicate:

• the title of the session (Obtaining Documents to Complete Your Application)

• the date of the session for which you are registering.

Please reserve early as space is limited. If we are unable to register you for the session you indicate, we will invite you to attend the next regularly scheduled session.

Please arrive at the College 15 minutes before the start of your session.
