Why does the College have a Privacy Code?

The College has developed a privacy code as part of its commitment to have a clear and complete plan for collecting, using and disclosing confidential member and applicant information.

Access to Personal Information

You can write to the College and ask for copies of your personal documents and information on file.

The College will provide access to that information, with some exceptions. For instance, we may be unable to provide access if it is impossible to retrieve the information or if access interferes with the administration of the College's legislated duties.

Limiting Collection, Use, and Disclosure

The College limits its collection, use and disclosure of personal information to purposes identified in the Privacy Code and according to legislation.

Safeguards

We ensure that all confidential information is securely stored, either in password-protected electronic files or locked storage units. Access to such information is restricted to specifically authorized personnel.
